GENERAL INFORMATION - A FANTASTIC DAY OUT

All our guided routes are located no more than 2 hours drive from Gibraltar, no experience is necessary. Participants are required to be mobile, however the activity can be tailored to different level of fitness and confidence. Safety on these routes is my major concern so we only use UIAA certified energy absorbing lanyards, climbing helmets and harnesses specifically designed for this purpose. Beginners are welcome and will receive full instruction on the equipment and assistance as needed. Some of the vias require a walk in and out that can take from 10 to 40 minutes.

You need to bring, comfortable running shoes or walking boots and comfortable clothes, you might also want to bring a pack lunch and water is a must. I do reserve the right to postpone any activity in the interest of safety and inclement weather conditions (because of the safety wire makes an awesome lightning rod! Saying that the weather in the area is very predictable).

Cost for a tailored via ferrata day out are as follows:

Group of 4 to 5 - £55 Per person.

Group of 6 to 8 - £45  Per person.

Via Ferrata days will be tailored to the group dynamic, fitness and confidence level. We can discuss your requirements. A typical itinerary for a day could look like this:

Summary - Located near the village of Benalauria, this Via is set in a large crag just above the Ronda mountain

road. Situated in a spectacular canyon, the Via has two rope bridges spanning the highest points.

Difficulty - Medium. Although anyone with an average fitness level and a head for heights will be able to do this

(To give you an idea my 11 year old son can manage this with no problems!)

heights is needed.

MONTEJAQUE

Summary - Located close to the village of Montejaque, this very interesting Via offers a great experience

for anyone interested in pushing their limits. Starting on a vertical slab the going is reasonably easy but

exposed until you hit a 70m chasm that must be crossed by the means of an exhilarating tyrolean traverse.

The opposite side presents us with the crux, an overhanging slab of rock with a difficult climb to the summit.

Not for the faint of heart!

Difficulty - Very High/High.  This Via is difficult so requires upper body strength and due to the level

of exposure, a good level of confidence at height is needed.

wire ladder although it is not as exposed as some of the others.upper body strength will be needed.
