La Concha

Summary - ​​La Concha is the striking mountain that sits behind Marbella, at the end of the Sierra Blanca mountain range. La Concha in Spanish means "the shell". Some say this mountain takes it's name because it looks like an inverted shell, another version is that a sea shell was found on top of it, as the sea once covered these mountains.

Difficulty - Hard. Anyone with an average fitness level and a head for heights will be able to do this trek with no major issues. There are a number of steep sections on narrow paths so good balance is essential. the views at the top make the effort worthwhile.

Time - About 6 hours, a little longer if we walk slow. Circular.

Torrecilla

Summary - ​​El pico Torrecilla, at 1919m high can be found within the Sierra de las Nieves near Ronda. This peak is the highest point in the provincia de Málaga. This peak has a variety of terrains along the way from, Mediterranean forests, thorny bushes, oak trees, ice wells and the characteristic rock formations found in the area. All this leads to marvellous views from the summit.

Difficulty - Medium to Hard. Anyone with an average fitness level will be able to do this trek with no major issues. Steep start followed by a gentle section leaving the summit pyramid to the end.

Time - About 6 hours, a little longer if we walk slow. Circular.

El Pico del Aljibe

Summary - ​​El pico del Aljibe is the highest point in the Alcornocales Nature Reserve. reaching the summit is hard work however rewarded wholeheartedly by the view we get at the top. we will be able to see the Cadiz province, the plains of Jerez, the Serranía de Ronda and Grazalema the rock of Gibraltar and on clear days  Ceuta and the North Moroccan mountains.

Difficulty - Medium to Hard. Anyone with an average fitness level will be able to do this trek with no major issues. Steep sections in oak forests to an exposed summit.

Time - About 4 hours, a little longer if we walk slow. Circular.

Most of our guided trekking routes are located no more than 2 hours drive from Gibraltar, however we can go further afield if required. We are happy to tailor the difficulty and grade of the trek to the clients ability.
